The investigations will be carried out in 54 thousand properties located in Playa del Carmen and Puerto Aventuras, both in the municipality of Solidaridad. In Tulum, 21,800 properties will be reviewed.

Similarly, 13,500 properties in Bacalar, 7,500 properties located in Holbox, Kantunilkín and Chiquilá, and 3,200 in Isla Blanca, Isla Mujeres (mainland).

According to the IGECE, it is necessary to have correct measurements of the properties, as well as their link to the Cadastral Register. Due to the exponential growth in some municipalities, there is no updated data, either due to lack of specialized personnel, budget or technology to carry out the processes.

“In the properties there will be a compilation of information, measurement of blocks and fronts of properties, assembly and structuring of properties, investigation in the field of construction levels and current use”, stated IGECE authorities.

Photographs will be taken of the fronts of the property, analysis and purification of the database, indexing of the cartography with the cadastral key, and a link established between the database and the cartography. For the works, the National Electronic Public Tender number LA-923012993-E1-2021 was issued, through the State Geographical and Cadastral Institute (IGECE).
