Tulum, January 8 (InZoomMX). — Grupo Piñero will arrive at FITUR 2026 with an agenda defined by the announcement of its new strategic vision, the evaluation of the first year of its alliance with Hyatt, and the launch of initiatives that consolidate its commitment to sustainability, innovation, and responsible tourism development.
The company will be present in pavilion 3, stand 3B03, where it will share the main advances of its different business lines and the roadmap that will guide its evolution in the coming years.
A New Vision That Redefines the Group’s Future
On Wednesday, January 21 at 11:00 a.m., Encarna Piñero, Global CEO of Grupo Piñero, will lead the company’s central event at the fair, considered the starting point of a new corporate stage. During the meeting, the strategic pillars that will mark the group’s positioning and its medium- and long-term development will be announced.
The event has been conceived as a different experience within the fair environment, oriented toward well-being and gratitude, as recognition of its allies and collaborators after the commemoration of the company’s 50th anniversary.
Grupo Piñero and Hyatt Present Results of Their Alliance
At 12:00 p.m. on the same Wednesday, Grupo Piñero and Hyatt will hold a joint press conference to present the balance of the first year of their joint venture. The meeting will include Encarna Piñero, Global CEO of Grupo Piñero and president of Bahía Príncipe Hotels & Resorts; Javier Águila, global president of Inclusive Collection at Hyatt; and Julio Pérez, CEO of Bahía Príncipe Hotels & Resorts.
The exercise will allow for a review of the main advances in the expansion and strengthening of Bahía Príncipe Hotels & Resorts, as well as the objectives that will guide its growth under international quality standards.
Sustainability 360°, a Measurable and Verifiable Model
As part of its presence at FITUR, Grupo Piñero will activate for the first time the Sustainability 360° initiative, a transversal program that will allow for measuring, reducing, and compensating in real time the carbon footprint generated by its participation in the fair.
The project integrates actions of labor inclusion, responsible catering with zero-kilometer products, sustainable mobility, stand design and construction with certified materials, as well as a digital system that will permanently show the environmental impact associated with travel, energy consumption, and materials used. At the conclusion of the fair, the consolidated data will serve as the basis for the certified compensation of the total footprint.
Los + Ecoístas Awards: Boosting Good Practices
On Thursday, January 22 at 12:00 p.m., the fourth edition of the Los + Ecoístas Awards will be held, which recognize companies, allies, and actors in the tourism sector for their contribution to sustainable development. This edition will incorporate three new categories aimed at opinion leaders, prescribers, and influencers, with the goal of amplifying the reach of good practices.
The ceremony will include the participation of Andrés Roselló, Chief Sustainability Officer of Grupo Piñero, and the Piñero Family will be in charge of delivering the recognitions.
Terreno Barrio Hotel: New Urban Bet of the Group
At 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, the Presentation of Cocreators of the new Terreno Barrio Hotel will take place, a project located in Palma de Mallorca that marks Grupo Piñero’s entry into the urban segment and represents an independent initiative from Bahía Príncipe Hotels & Resorts.
The meeting will bring together Lydia Piñero, responsible for the patrimonial management of the group’s Family Office; Nabil Aguilera, director of the hotel; Rafa Roses, from Estudio Roses; and Paloma Hernaiz and Jaime Oliver, from OHLAB! The call will include a gastronomic experience led by chef Gabriel Conti, responsible for the Destape restaurant, who will present a selection of tapas linked to the local identity of the project.
Terreno Barrio Hotel is conceived as a space that connects history, culture, sustainability, art, and gastronomy, offering a different way to discover Palma from the life of the neighborhood and its social essence.
Soltour Promotes Debate on Deseasonalization
On Friday at 12:00 p.m., Soltour will organize a round table on the challenges and opportunities of tourist deseasonalization, with special attention to the role of senior tourism as a driver of balance in tourism activity throughout the year, after having won the tender for the Club de los 60 of Castilla y León.
Encarna Piñero Participates in the Exceltur Forum
As a prelude to FITUR, Encarna Piñero will participate as moderator in the 13th Exceltur Forum, in the panel “Implications of the New Global Geoeconomic Context on Tourism,” alongside Gabriele Burgio, Steve Heapy, Javier Águila, and Marco Sansavini, where the new international dynamics that are redefining the sector’s growth will be analyzed.
