Cancún, Quintana Roo — A foreign woman allegedly stabbed her partner to death early Tuesday during an argument over suspected infidelity in the parking lot of a hotel in Cancún’s Hotel Zone, authorities said.
Emergency operators received a report of a person wounded with a bladed weapon near kilometer 18.5 of the hotel district. Private paramedics responded and found the man inside a vehicle with visible blood stains. They confirmed he had no vital signs and pronounced him dead at the scene.
According to initial reports, the victim and the woman were together when she confronted him about a presumed affair. The argument escalated, and the woman allegedly attacked him with a knife, inflicting wounds to his chest and abdomen.
Investigators with the State Prosecutor’s Office homicide unit arrived at the hotel to process the scene. The body was taken to the forensic medical service for an autopsy.
The woman was reportedly detained at the scene, although authorities had not officially confirmed an arrest as of early Tuesday.
