The municipal government of Benito Juárez has been distributing groceries to flood victims following heavy rainfall last week. The aid was provided to residents of the Donceles 28 community, as well as local fishermen and boating cooperatives.
Marisol Rodríguez Sendo, head of the local social services agency, stated that approximately ten families from the Donceles 28 community have received food aid so far.
In addition to food aid, medical assistance was also provided to those affected. Sendo reported that members of the fishermen and boating cooperatives will also receive visits from officials to deliver groceries.
Sendo encouraged those affected by the floods to visit the community dining hall located in region 235, which operates from Monday to Friday.
Meteorologist Fabián Torres warned that the weather forecast predicts scattered showers and strong wind gusts in the coming hours, due to last week's rainfall. He urged the public to take necessary precautions and stay updated with official information.
