Tulum, Quintana Roo — The Attorney General’s Office of Quintana Roo reported this Friday morning on the arrest of five individuals—including a teenager—for their probable involvement in drug dealing offenses in Tulum.

The operation was conducted in coordination with the National Defense Secretariat and the Tulum Municipal Police, as part of efforts to combat groups generating violence in the municipality. The information was published via Press Release 211/2025-FDC, issued on November 28, 2025.

According to the Attorney General’s Office, the detainees were identified as Ana Dalay “N”, Mauricio de Jesús “N”, Emanuel “N”, and Jesús Guillermo “N”, in addition to the minor. All were caught in the act on Beta Sur Street, between Andrómeda Oriente and Sol Oriente, in the Centro neighborhood of Tulum.

During the intervention, state, military, and municipal agents observed the individuals exchanging what appeared to be drugs, leading them to conduct a preventive inspection. They located various substances with characteristics similar to narcotics: green and dry vegetable resembling marijuana, white powder similar to cocaine, and solid beige fragments with the appearance of “crack”.

Initial lines of investigation indicate that the five detainees could be linked to a criminal group dedicated to drug dealing and identified as generating violence in the tourist and residential area of Tulum.

The alleged perpetrators were secured along with the collected evidence and transferred to the corresponding authority, which will determine their legal status within the timeframe established by law.
