A man lost his life in Playa del Carmen after being struck by a commercial van. The incident occurred just before midnight on Federal Highway 307, between Cálica and Punta Venado.
The man reportedly appeared suddenly on the road, resulting in a severe collision with the van. Witnesses to the accident quickly alerted local authorities, who arrived promptly at the scene.
Despite the rapid response of paramedics, they could only confirm the man's death upon arrival. The area was subsequently cordoned off as part of the standard procedure following such incidents.
