A man who was hospitalized with gunshot wounds at the General Hospital of Playa del Carmen has tragically passed away due to his injuries. The initial reports suggest that the victim had sustained a gunshot wound to the head. Despite arriving at the hospital with vital signs, he sadly died a few hours later.
The victim was brought to the hospital by the Secretariat of Citizen Security at 07:30 hours. He has been identified as Erick P. V. and was a resident of the Puerto Aventuras municipality.
Currently, the motive behind the attack remains unknown. It is also unclear whether any suspects have been apprehended in connection with the incident.
