Cancún — The route connecting Cancún International Airport with the Hotel Zone has registered a significant increase in passenger demand, leading Mobility ADO to expand trip frequency and optimize boarding and drop-off points.

Up to Nine Trips Per Day on the Route

According to Iván Cupul Sánchez, the company's manager, the route began operating in January with 2 to 3 trips per day, but currently up to 9 trips are made daily, responding directly to the growing interest from tourists and visitors for more comfortable and direct mobility to the main areas of interest.

The stops include strategic locations such as the Cancún Maya Museum, Aquaworld, Plaza La Isla, Plaza La Fiesta, and Puerto Cancún. For the return to the airport, users can board from Aquaworld, Plaza La Isla, and Plaza La Fiesta.

Passenger Numbers Increase by 20 Percent

In addition to the increased frequency, the route has also seen a 20 percent increase in the number of passengers transported, rising from 2,000 users to significantly higher figures. Many of these travelers disembark at Playa Tortugas, seeking connection to Isla Mujeres, reaffirming the need for services connecting key tourist points.

"All these routes we have opened based on the demand requested by the passenger," explained Cupul Sánchez, highlighting that direct feedback from users has been essential for the service expansion.

New Sales Point

Mobility ADO also announced the opening of a new sales point at Multiplaza Arco Norte, operating Monday through Sunday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. From this location, routes to cities like Mérida are planned to start soon, addressing the high demand from that area of Cancún.
