“Unraveling Wins at Cancún Park’s María Untangler Race!”

Turía Limón and Javier Ruíz led the pack in the ten-kilometer race, while María del Mar Anitúa and Arturo Milán topped the five-kilometer race at the inaugural family event, “María Untangler of Knots,” held in Cancún Park. Over 500 competitors gathered at the starting line, where Sanctuary Father Luis Pablo Garza and Father Rodolfo Mayagoitia welcomed the athletes and thanked them for their participation. César Barrios, the director of Cancún Park, was also present at the event.

The sporting event continued with a family-friendly 2.5-kilometer walk, and concluded with children's races of 100, 500 meters, and one kilometer. The event wrapped up with an awards ceremony and closing event.

5 KM Race Winners

In the under-17 female category, Ana Paula Diez took first place, while Francisco Barrera won in the male category. María del Mar Anitúa and Arturo Milán were the winners in the open female and male categories respectively. Mónica Solis and Mario Prieto were the winners in the Female and Male Masters categories. In the veterans' category, Angelica González and Luis Flores took top honors, while Martha Oropeza and Juan Guerra won in the veterans' plus category.

10 KM Race Winners

Yayo Rodríguez and Karla Chávez won in the under-18 and open female categories respectively. Jorge Escalona was the winner in the open male category. Turín Limón and Carlos Guerra won in the Female and Male Masters categories. In the veterans' category, Rosalba Romo and Juan Montenegro were the winners, while Dely Rios and Javier Ruíz won in the veterans' plus category. Father Rodolfo Mayagoitia, who will compete in the L’Étape Cancún by Tour de France cycling race, finished third.

Children's Race Champions

In the under-12 category, Luca Dahlle and Elena Pefini were the winners. The 4-6 year category was won by Andrés Carrillo and Victoria Pelfini, while Sofía Carvajal and David Gutiérrez took top honors in the 7-9 year category.
