Playa del Carmen, QRoo — Municipal President Estefanía Mercado has taken first place in the top 20 ranking of mayoral approval in Mexico, according to the most recent poll published by Data Polls Mx.
The study, released today, evaluated the performance of municipal presidents from the 150 most populous demarcations in the country, positioning Mercado as the highest-rated in citizen perception.
In this poll, Estefanía Mercado took the lead with an approval rating of 70.1; she is followed by Milena Quiroga of La Paz, with 69.6; in third place is Enrique Galindo, of San Luis Potosí, with 67.5; the fourth place goes to Adrián de la Garza, of Monterrey with 66.9, a position he shares with Grecia Quiroz of Uruapan, Michoacán.
That percentage reflects the population’s confidence in the actions undertaken during her administration, particularly in matters of public services, security, and social programs.
The Data Polls Mx study was conducted with a representative sample of 12,000 interviews across the country, carried out between January 10 and 20, 2026, with telephone and digital surveys, with a margin of error of ±3%, which guarantees the statistical robustness of the results.
