Cancún, January 7 (InZoomMX). — A man identified as Enrique Alonso “N” was detained by elements of the Secretariat of Citizen Security after being involved in an altercation with police officers on streets of Supermanzana 61 in Cancún, where he allegedly committed the crime of disobedience and resistance of private individuals.
According to the official report, agents from the Investigation Group were circulating on 67th Street North, between 65th and 69th Streets, when the individual suddenly crossed in front of the patrol car, forcing the officers to brake abruptly to avoid hitting him.
Upon descending from the unit and attempting to verify if the man was okay or required any type of assistance, the subject reacted aggressively, hitting the hood of the official vehicle and beginning to launch threats and insults against the uniformed officers.
Given the violent conduct and the individual’s refusal to comply with instructions, the elements proceeded with his apprehension according to protocol. Subsequently, Enrique Alonso “N” was placed at the disposal of the State Attorney General’s Office, where his legal situation will be determined.
The Secretariat of Citizen Security reiterated that these actions are part of permanent operations to preserve order and security in different zones of the Benito Juárez municipality.
