A severe collision between a dump truck and a personnel transport van resulted in eight Maya Train workers being injured. The accident occurred on Saturday afternoon, on a dirt road just a few kilometers from Puerto Aventuras, in front of the Hard Rock Hotel.
According to a preliminary report, a 14 square meter dump truck collided head-on with the van transporting the workers. The cause of the collision is still under investigation. Following the incident, emergency services were notified and quickly arrived at the scene.
Red Cross paramedics attended to the injured workers, providing immediate treatment before transporting them to a hospital in Playa del Carmen.
