Puerto Aventuras, Mexico — The DIF Playa del Carmen, led by its honorary president Eduardo Asencio Martínez, distributed over 100 food aid packages to vulnerable families in Puerto Aventuras as part of a municipal welfare initiative. The event took place at the Casa del Adulto Mayor and the DIF Puerto Aventuras outreach center under the direction of the Social Assistance Office.

The distribution aligns with the social welfare agenda of Playa del Carmen Mayor Estefanía Mercado. Asencio Martínez was accompanied by Puerto Aventuras Mayor Gilberto Gómez, DIF Outreach Coordinator Brenda Cen, and Community Development Coordinator Felipa Pat.
During the event at the Casa del Adulto Mayor, Asencio Martínez emphasized the importance of the food aid in improving the well-being of elderly residents and vulnerable families. "These basic supplies are crucial in preventing malnutrition among children and seniors," he stated.
Officials personally addressed beneficiaries' requests, reaffirming their commitment to social welfare. The initiative underscores the local government's efforts to support marginalized communities through direct assistance programs.
