A tragic accident occurred near Xpu-Ha, along the Playa del Carmen-Tulum stretch, when a construction worker was killed by a falling wall. The incident happened just after midday, as the worker was nearing the end of his shift.

Co-workers quickly came to his aid, attempting to transport him to the Puerto Aventuras Health Center. En route, they flagged down an ambulance which took over the transportation. Unfortunately, despite the efforts of the medical staff, the man was pronounced dead at the hospital.

The accident appears to have been caused by a mishap where the man fell from the wall, which subsequently collapsed on top of him. This resulted in multiple fractures throughout his body, leading to his death.

Following the incident, the man's body was moved to the Forensic Medical Service for a legal autopsy to be conducted.
