Janal Pixán Festival: Colors, Music & Tradition

Cancún — Amid the aromas of copal, cempasúchil flowers, and the murmur of the Caribbean Sea, Puerto Juárez is preparing to host one of the most heartfelt celebrations of the year: the Janal Pixán Festival 2025. The event will take place from October 30 to November 2, featuring a program rich with culture, art, music, and tradition.

The festival will commence on Wednesday, October 30, at the Muelle de la Calle 45. A Maritime Procession is scheduled for 6:30 PM, followed by a Catrinas and Catrines Parade at 7:00 PM, hosted by Los Compadres, Alex Yañez, and Chucho Robles.

The main stage will feature performances by the Academia Pasión y Baile, Marcela Anzures, Los Príncipes de Cancún, the Ballet Folclórico Herencia de México, Mariachi Vino Tinto, and will conclude with musical acts from The Best Band and Ramón Nieves.

On Thursday, October 31, the artistic lineup will include Sofía Meneses, Gabriel Castro, the Trío Femenil Aroma Mexicano, Mary Baut, and Clase 4. The day will also feature a Maya Ceremony led by priest Aniceto Velázquez Chi and a performance by the Compañía Municipal de Ballet Folclórico.

The festivities will continue on November 1 with the energy of Las Hermanas Candiani, the Ballet Folclórico Tonantzin Expresión Folclórica Mexicana, a catrinas and catrines fashion show and contest, and the talents of Trío Insomnio Cancún, Acadanz, Gabriel Castro, Trío Piel Canela. The evening will conclude with a grand musical performance by La Sonora Cancún.

Finally, on November 2, following the traditional Maritime Procession and the catrinas and catrines parade, the stage will host performances by the Universidad Unicef with its "Baile de Muertos," the Escuela de Danza Talulah, Julio Baró, the group Yaaxche from the Instituto Tecnológico de Cancún, the Ballet Folclórico Anirak, Sabor con 6, and the Compañía Municipal de Coro, which will provide the closing act for this emotional edition.

This Janal Pixán Festival in Puerto Juárez invites the public to celebrate life, memory, and cultural roots in a family-friendly atmosphere full of color, art, and tradition.
