The Bicentennial Rotary Club in Cancún is organizing a prostate antigen testing day. This event is part of the 'Movember taking care of you' campaign. The testing drive is open to all men, regardless of whether they have social security or not. The campaign will be held this weekend at the General Regional Hospital No. 17, operated by the Mexican Social Security Institute (IMSS), in Cancún.

The Rotary Club encourages all men to participate in this campaign. They aim to dispel the prejudices that often deter men from seeking medical attention, particularly for preventive measures like this test, which can help detect prostate cancer early.

The testing drive will start at 8:00 AM and conclude at noon. Those interested in taking the test should arrive at the clinic, also known as 510, after fasting for four hours. Attendees with social security should bring their social security number. However, those without insurance are also welcome and will be attended to without any issues.

Upon arrival, attendees should enter through the main entrance and head left after the reception to find the Rotary Club members. After registration, clinic specialists will call attendees for blood sample collection. The test results will be sent within two to three days via email or WhatsApp.

According to a recent report from the Federal Department of Health, as of November 11 this year, there have been nine cases of malignant prostate tumors in Quintana Roo.
