Cancún, Quintana Roo – The year 2026 begins in Cancún with the celebration of ‘Pancito Fest’, a gastronomic event that will take place at the emblematic Parque de Las Palapas on January 10 and 11. The initiative, which is part of the “Qué Rico es Cancún” program, aims to bring together more than five thousand attendees.

More than 80 local merchants will exhibit a wide variety of traditional and artisanal bakery and pastry recipes. Attendees will be able to enjoy everything from the traditional rosca de reyes to pound cakes and cookies, representing the culinary diversity of various parts of Mexico.

Delmar Briceño, director of the program, highlighted the importance of the event, especially on dates close to the celebration of Rosca de Reyes. “Participating are inherited recipes, artisanal ovens, and the creative hands of Cancún in the area of bakery and pastry in this edition,” he stated.

The ‘Pancito Fest’ pays homage to bread in all its presentations, including cakes, cupcakes, brownies, sweet bread, and roscas. The event will begin at 4 p.m., transforming Parque de Las Palapas into a space for tasting artisanal breads, gastronomic proposals, and local crafts, designed for family enjoyment.

“More than a gastronomic festival, ‘Pancito Fest’ is an invitation to recognize the talent of local producers, to share table and conversation, and to strengthen community life in one of the city’s most representative spaces,” affirmed Briceño.

This festival has the support of the Institute of Culture and the Arts, the Gastronomic Circuit of the Yucatán Peninsula, the Cultural, Gastronomic and Tourism Promoter, and local entrepreneurs.

Additionally, the DIF Benito Juárez extends an invitation for Three Kings’ Day, offering a large traditional rosca to support its social programs. Orders can be placed via WhatsApp at 998 241 4593, with a recovery fee of 300 pesos, and delivery will be on Monday, January 5 at CDC 237. On January 6, there will be public sale at Plaza de la Reforma.
