Cancún Airport Handles 560 Flights on New Year’s Eve

Cancún, Mexico — Cancún International Airport closed the year with 560 flights to different parts of the world on December 31.

In its operations breakdown, Southeast Airports, the airport terminal concessionaire, reported that 560 flights were scheduled for December 31: 283 arrivals, of which 79 were domestic and 204 international, and 277 departures, of which 80 were domestic and 197 international.

The airlines that scheduled flights were: Aerolíneas Argentinas, Aeroméxico, Air Canada, Air Caraibes, Air France, Air Transat, Alaska, American Airlines, Avelo Airlines, Avianca, Avianca Costa Rica, British Airways, Condor, Copa, Delta, Eurowings, Flair Airlines, Frontier, JetBlue, LATAM Perú, Magnicharter, Porter Airlines, Southwest, Spirit, Sun Country, Thomson, Turkish Airlines, United Airlines, Virgin Atlantic, Viva Aerobús, Volaris, Volaris Salvador, West Jet, and Wingo.

Similarly, it was announced that the international destinations with scheduled operations were: Atlanta, Austin, Baltimore, Birmingham, Bogotá, Boston, Buenos Aires, Calgary, Charlotte, Chicago, Cincinnati, Cleveland, Dallas, Denver, Detroit, Edmonton, Istanbul, Fort Lauderdale, Frankfurt, Guatemala, Halifax, Hamilton, Hartford, Houston, Kansas, Kelowna, Havana, Lima, London, Los Angeles, Manchester, Medellín, Miami, Milwaukee, Minneapolis, Montreal, Nashville, New York, Newark, Orlando, Orly, Ottawa, Panama, Paris, Philadelphia, Phoenix, Portland, Quebec, Raleigh Durham, Regina Sask, Salt Lake City, San Francisco, San José de Costa Rica, Seattle, St. Louis, Tampa, Toronto, Vancouver, Victoria, Washington, and Winnipeg.

Similarly, at the national level, there was connection with domestic destinations: Chihuahua, Mexico City, Ciudad Juárez, Guadalajara, León, Monterrey, Oaxaca, Puebla, Querétaro, Reynosa, San Luis Potosí, Santa Lucía, Tijuana, Toluca, Torreón, Tuxtla, Veracruz, and Villahermosa.
