Cancún, QRoo — Cancún has started 2026 with the confirmation of two high-level concerts, with the announcement of performances by Los Tigres del Norte and Carlos Rivera, reinforcing the destination’s position as one of the most important venues for mass entertainment in southeastern Mexico.
According to information from the company Showcase Entretenimiento, Los Tigres del Norte will perform on February 27 at the Estadio Andrés Quintana Roo, with an expected attendance of nearly 7,000 people, while Carlos Rivera will offer a concert on May 29 at the Plaza de Toros, with an estimated capacity of 4,000 attendees.
The promoter, based in Torreón, Coahuila, highlighted that Cancún has consolidated itself as a strategic market for the entertainment industry, both due to the response from the local public and the facilities the destination offers for artists’ rest and logistics after their performances.
Fernando Fernández, representative of Showcase, noted that although in Cancún ticket purchases tend to concentrate in the days leading up to concerts, the company has managed to adapt to this behavior. He recalled that during 2025, there were sold-out performances by artists such as Bronco, María José, and the Tour Juntos.
Both concerts arrive at a relevant moment for the performers, as Los Tigres del Norte recently participated in an episode of the series Los Simpson, while Carlos Rivera concludes his participation in the program Quién es la Máscara and prepares new musical material, strengthening the appeal of these shows for the Cancún audience.
