Cancún, Mexico — The Municipal Tourism Secretariat conducted the HYROX PFT (Physical Fitness Test) at Playa Langosta in Cancún’s Hotel Zone. The test aimed to measure participants’ preparation levels before the HYROX event, which will take place at Malecón Tajamar on March 14 and 15.

Municipal Tourism Secretary Pablo De Zulueta Razo was accompanied by State Secretary Bernardo Cueto Riestra and Benito Juárez Civil Protection Director Antonio de Jesús Riveroll Ribbon. He highlighted that the test consisted of routines including running 1 km, 50 burpees broad jumps, 100 stationary lunges, 1,000 meters of rowing, 30 hand release push-ups, and 100 wall balls.

More than 300 participants completed the circuit in different waves starting at 7 a.m. Specialized trainers evaluated times to assign categories based on each competitor’s performance.

Bernardo Cueto Riestra emphasized that events like HYROX strengthen social fabric. They promote sports tourism and position Cancún as an international destination for fitness competitions.

The day included free HYROX classes, meditation in ice baths, coffee party, and live music with a DJ. This created an atmosphere of community and motivation for participants.

The event invites the entire community to register and participate in the world’s fastest-growing fitness competition. This strengthens sports practice and physical well-being in the region.
