Today's weather in Cancun and Quintana Roo, this Wednesday, May 29th, will be shaped by the anticyclonic circulation situated in the mid-levels of the atmosphere. This will result in the continuation of the third heatwave over the Yucatan Peninsula and the state of Quintana Roo. A hot to extremely hot climate is anticipated during the day, with warmth persisting in the early morning and at dawn.

Furthermore, the sky will be partly cloudy with an increase in cloud cover throughout the day. This suggests the possibility of isolated rainfall across the state. Winds are expected to blow from the east and southeast, with gusts ranging from 40 to 50 km/h, primarily affecting coastal areas.

In Cancun, the sky is predicted to be clear to partly cloudy, with a low chance of rainfall. This will result in a very hot to sweltering climate, with peak temperatures reaching 38 °C and lows of 29 °C. The heat index will remain at 42 °C. Winds in this popular tourist destination will originate from the east, blowing at speeds of 15 to 25 km/h, with stronger gusts possible.

As for the Yucatan Peninsula, a partly cloudy sky is anticipated, with isolated showers in Yucatan and Quintana Roo. However, no rainfall is expected in Campeche. The climate will be warm in the morning and hot to extremely hot in the afternoon. Winds will blow from an easterly direction at speeds of 15 to 25 km/h, with gusts of 40 to 60 km/h across the region.
