Emergency services responding to tourist fall at Playa del Carmen hotel

Playa del Carmen, Quintana Roo — A Canadian tourist staying at the Luciana Beach Club hotel, located on Calle 8 in the beach zone, suffered a fall of approximately two meters within the hotel facilities, prompting the mobilization of emergency services to the area.

The incident occurred on Friday morning when hotel workers observed the guest in a risky situation and immediately requested support from emergency services to assess the adult, who is approximately 60 years old.

Paramedics arrived at the site and confirmed that the foreigner had suffered a fall from considerable height. After an initial review on site, prehospital care technicians proceeded to stabilize him and provide necessary first aid before his transfer.

Subsequently, the man was transported to a private hospital in the city to receive specialized medical attention. His health status has not been reported at this time, though it was indicated that he remained conscious during the initial care.

The incident generated mobilization in the tourist zone, where other hotel guests and visitors witnessed the arrival of emergency services.

Necessary procedures were carried out to ensure the area remained free of risks for other people circulating through the location.

No other injured persons were reported in the incident. For its part, the hotel took immediate measures to secure the area and collaborate with the follow-up of events, ensuring that access to the location remained controlled while the affected person was attended to.

The case was registered as an accident within hotel facilities, and it is expected that internal investigation will continue to determine the causes of the fall and prevent similar situations in the future.
