Bound Man Found in Truck Tire in Quintana Roo

Chetumal, Quintana Roo — Authorities discovered the body of a man bound and placed inside a truck tire in the early hours of Sunday morning. The gruesome find was reported near the landfill in the community of Javier Rojo Gómez, located in the municipality of Othón P. Blanco.

Discovery and Investigation

At approximately 6:50 a.m., municipal authorities received an emergency alert regarding a corpse in the area. Officers from the Rural Police arrived at the scene and confirmed the presence of a male victim, whose hands and feet were tied. The body had been stuffed inside a truck tire filled with rocks.

Forensic experts from the State Attorney General’s Office, accompanied by investigative police and a public prosecutor, conducted the necessary procedures at the site. After documenting the scene, the body was transported to the Forensic Medical Service for an autopsy.

Victim Description

The deceased was described as having a dark complexion, a slim build, and a tattoo resembling a dragon on the right side of his chest. His identity remains unknown as of this report.

The State Attorney General’s Office has opened an investigation to determine the circumstances of the crime and identify those responsible.

The discovery follows other recent violent incidents in the region, including the finding of a human skull in an irregular settlement in Cancún. Authorities continue to address rising security concerns in Quintana Roo.
