Playa del Carmen, Quintana Roo – The lifeless body of a man was found on Thursday morning inside the private Tohoku subdivision, prompting a rapid mobilization of security forces and ministerial authorities.
The discovery occurred around 10:30 a.m. in the area located between Avenues 25 and 38, after a resident alerted authorities about an unconscious person in the yard of a home.
According to preliminary information, the man had blood stains, visible alterations to his body, and signs pointing to a possible violent incident, leading investigators not to rule out homicide.
Municipal Police officers arrived at the scene, confirmed the death, and proceeded to cordon off the area to preserve possible evidence. Subsequently, the Attorney General’s Office was notified and assumed the corresponding investigative procedures.
As of now, the victim’s identity has not been released, nor have any arrests been made, while investigations continue to clarify the circumstances of the case.
