Cancún Carnival 2026 Moves Main Concert to Beto Ávila Stadium

Beto Ávila Stadium in Cancún prepared for Carnival 2026 main concert

Cancún, Mexico — Following the announcement of three venues for the Cancún Carnival, the Beto Ávila baseball stadium is preparing to host 18,000 people during the main concert of the 2026 carnival festivities.

This decision aims to optimize the logistics of the carnival celebrations, traditionally held in open spaces, by moving the main event to a venue with greater control capacity.

Antonio Riveroll, director of Civil Protection in Benito Juárez, confirmed that the facility of the Tigres de Quintana Roo is one of the three official venues.

Along with the Tajamar Malecón and Bonampak Avenue, the stadium will operate under strict security protocols to ensure order among the thousands of local attendees and tourists.

This edition marks the first time the City Council has decided to move the main show from its traditional location in the center or the malecón.

Authorities emphasized that, as a closed venue, crowd management is considerably simpler, allowing efficient monitoring of entrances and exits during the event.

Although the Benito Juárez City Council has maintained secrecy about the official artistic lineup, expectations are growing as the dates of February 12 to 17 approach.

Municipal sources indicate that the logistics are designed to receive massive flows of people without compromising the safety of citizens at any of the venues.

By tradition, the most anticipated concert is reserved for the closing of the festivities, known as “Carnival Tuesday.”

On this occasion, the closing will fall on February 17, a date on which the stadium is expected to reach its maximum capacity allowed by security and rescue authorities.

Despite the lack of an official announcement from the local administration, Banda MS has already confirmed on its website a performance in Cancún for that same night.

The security operation will include the participation of Firefighters, Transit, and Citizen Security to secure the Beto Ávila and its surroundings.

With this deployment, the Cancún Carnival 2026 promises to be one of the most monitored and organized in the recent history of the destination, betting on the modernity of its sports facilities.
