Cancún, Mexico — A joint operation between the Quintana Roo State Attorney General's Office (FGE) and the National Guard resulted in the raid of a property operating as a spa in Cancún's Supermanzana 29. The operation, prompted by an anonymous tip, led to the rescue of three women and the arrest of one individual for her alleged involvement in the crime of human trafficking, specifically for the purpose of forced prostitution.
The operation was carried out at a residence located on Playa del Palmar street, between Palenque Avenue and Hornos Street. During the judicial proceeding, agents secured various pieces of evidence, including notebooks with documents, cell phones, cash, and condoms. The site was placed under the custody of the Attorney General's Office, with visible seizure seals affixed.
According to initial investigations by the Special Prosecutor's Office for Combating Human Trafficking, sexual services were offered at the location in addition to therapeutic massages. For each 45-minute session, clients paid 700 pesos, of which 500 pesos were handed over to the manager of the establishment, identified as Imer Lorena "N," who was detained on the premises.
The three women found inside the property were taken into protective custody by authorities due to their vulnerable situation. They were provided with medical and psychological attention while their status as potential victims of human trafficking is determined within the context of the case.
The detained individual and the secured evidence were turned over to the Public Prosecutor's Office. Within the coming hours, and within the legally established timeframe, the legal status of Imer Lorena "N" will be determined as the investigation case file continues to be compiled.
