Authorities Dismantle Nine Drug Sales Points Across Five Quintana Roo Municipalities

Quintana Roo, Mexico — State and federal authorities dismantled nine drug sales points across five municipalities in Quintana Roo during coordinated raids that resulted in four arrests and the seizure of various illicit substances.

The operations targeted small-scale drug trafficking networks as part of a broader strategy to combat drug-related crimes in the state. Officials executed nine search warrants through coordinated efforts between the State Prosecutor’s Office and federal and state security forces.

Municipality-by-Municipality Results

  • Benito Juárez (Cancún): Police arrested Dante “N” and Emmanuel “N” in the irregular settlement of La Comarca. Authorities seized dried plant material resembling marijuana and white powder resembling cocaine at the property.
  • Othón P. Blanco (Xul Há): At a property on Aarón Merino Fernández Street at the corner of Independencia Avenue, authorities seized green and dried plant material along with solid substance resembling cocaine. Police arrested Samuel “N” and Óscar Amílcar “N” nearby, who were allegedly carrying narcotics.
  • Cozumel: Authorities seized narcotics at one of the searched locations but reported no arrests.
  • Tulum: During the search, officials located illicit substances related to drug sales, which were added to the investigation file.
  • Lázaro Cárdenas: At the intervened property, authorities seized alleged narcotics as part of the same interagency operation.

Officials stated these operations will continue as part of efforts to reduce small-scale drug trafficking and strengthen security in Quintana Roo.
