Cancún, Mexico — A man was executed on Sunday night in the Casas del Mar neighborhood after being pursued by his attackers from the nearby Galaxias Las Torres area. Following the shooting, the assailants returned to the residence where the chase originated and allegedly attempted to set it on fire.

According to initial reports, the victim was riding a bicycle on Uno Oriente street when he was intercepted by several armed individuals who began to follow him. In an attempt to escape, the man traveled several streets until he reached Mar Caribe street in supermanzana 248, where he was ultimately overtaken and executed by gunfire.

Minutes after the attack, the aggressors returned to the home where the pursuit began and allegedly tried to burn it down. Neighbors reported hearing the detonations, cries for help, and subsequently seeing smoke emerging from the property.

Paramedics from ERUM arrived at the scene and attempted to provide first aid to the injured man; however, they confirmed he no longer showed signs of life. Municipal Police officers cordoned off the area and notified the State Attorney General's Office, while the Forensic Medical Service took charge of removing the body.

Preliminary information suggests the motive for the attack may be related to alleged disputes over the theft of motorcycles, though authorities continue their investigations to clarify the facts and locate those responsible.
