Yucatán, Mexico — The execution of arrest warrants against five individuals for the triple homicide recorded in the municipality of Dzilam González confirmed that the armed attack was not an isolated incident, but the direct consequence of an internal feud within the Cártel de Caborca, a criminal conflict that originated in southern Quintana Roo and extended into Yucatecan territory.
Investigative agents from the Secretariat of Public Security, in coordination with the State Attorney General’s Office and with support from federal forces, carried out judicial orders against five individuals for their probable responsibility in the crimes of aggravated homicide committed by a gang and attempted aggravated homicide.
The detainees were identified as Luis Antonio N, 63 years old, originally from Chiapas; Alfredo N, 34, from Ticul; Verónica Rubí N, 32, originally from Chetumal; Carlos Alberto N, 34, from Coatzacoalcos; and Keny Elías N, 27, originally from Cancún.
According to evidence gathered by agents and investigative prosecutors, the events occurred on January 5, 2026, between 3:30 PM and 4:30 PM, on a property in Dzilam González, where several people were gathered. Two individuals arrived at the site on a motorcycle, who allegedly fired repeatedly at the victims.
As a result of the attack, J. C. V. G. and A. A. R. K. died at the scene. A third man, identified as L. F. K. T., was taken to a hospital, where he subsequently lost his life due to his injuries. A minor was injured, but their life was not taken.
Forensic medical experts from the State Attorney General’s Office determined the causes of death. The investigations established that the attack was planned and coordinated in advance, which allowed for the identification of the probable participants and supported the arrest warrants issued by a Control Judge.
It emerged that, within this same investigation, Keny Elías Limón Interian was detained as part of a multi-detention of at least six people in Yucatán, who allegedly participated in the triple execution that occurred in Dzilam González, where three people lost their lives, including two minors. Unofficially, it has also been indicated that one of the alleged individuals involved could be Alfredo Loría Caamal, information that has not yet been confirmed by authorities.
Keny Elías Limón Interian is a relative of Jacobo Interian and Israel Interian, the latter still a fugitive from justice and identified as a generator of violence in the region, recognized as a criminal leader of the Cártel de Caborca. It is worth noting that Jacobo Interian was detained in Yucatán on December 9 of the previous year, and that investigations against him began precisely in Dzilam González, after residents alerted authorities about the presence of armed and hooded men moving in trucks.
This operation represents a relevant blow to the criminal structure of the Cártel de Caborca, weakening the Loría-Interian faction, identified as controlling the territory in the southern zone of Quintana Roo and attempting to extend its internal dispute into Yucatán.
Unofficially, it has also emerged that the total number of people detained for these events could exceed ten, as the dismantling of the involved criminal cell progresses.
