Playa del Carmen, Quintana Roo — In coordinated actions with federal and state agencies, the State Attorney General’s Office executed five search warrants authorized by control judges in different municipalities of Quintana Roo, as part of investigations related to crimes against health in the form of drug dealing. The outcome was seven people detained and the seizure of various substances with characteristics of narcotics.
One of the operations took place in Playa del Carmen, where agents intervened in a residence located in the Villas del Sol subdivision. At the site, dry green herb similar to marijuana was located, and in the vicinity, Néstor Isahí “N”, Roberto Carlos “N”, José Enrique “N”, and Manuel Alexander “N” were detained, who allegedly were carrying the same type of substance.
In Cozumel, authorities searched a property in the San Miguel II neighborhood, where they secured dry green vegetable matter, as well as solid substances with the appearance of methamphetamine, crystal, and cocaine, in addition to tactical vests. Additionally, and during investigative acts in the same area, investigative police detained in flagrante delicto Brandon Daniel “N” and Ryan Jeremy “N”, who were found with narcotics.
Another deployment took place in the municipality of Benito Juárez, specifically on a property in the Rancho Viejo neighborhood, where participating elements secured dry green herb and white solid fragments. At that location, Manuel “N” was detained, identified as a possible drug distributor.
In the municipality of Tulum, two more searches were carried out. The first, in a property in the irregular Arrecife neighborhood, allowed for the seizure of two vehicles and various illicit substances; the second was conducted in the Aldea Tulum subdivision, where alleged narcotics were also located.
Following the procedures, the intervened properties remained under the custody of the authorities and all detained persons were placed at the disposal of the Public Prosecutor’s Office, the instance that will determine their legal situation in accordance with the deadlines and procedures established by law.
