Victor Hugo "N", also known as "El Huguito", believed to be the leader of the criminal group La Unión Tepito, has been arrested in Cancún, Quintana Roo. This is according to the General Prosecution Office of Mexico City (FGJCDMX). His arrest is a significant achievement for the agency as he was one of their high-priority targets, accused of murder and aggravated robbery.

In an effort to apprehend him, authorities had offered a reward of half a million pesos for any information leading to his capture. The FGJCDMX was able to arrest him once they obtained a warrant, linking him to investigations involving possession of a stolen vehicle, gang-related aggravated robbery, street mugging, and murder by firearm.

"El Huguito" was known to be close to Roberto "N", also known as "El Betito", another alleged leader of the criminal organization. "El Betito" was sentenced to 43 years and nine months in prison last December for murder and attempted murder.

According to the FGJCDMX, "El Huguito" began his life of crime at the age of 16, when he was first arrested for mugging. He was arrested again shortly after, but due to lack of substantial charges, he was always released. One of his most notorious operations is believed to be the 2018 attack on members of the Anti-Unión, which resulted in fatalities at Plaza Garibaldi.

Following extensive intelligence work, agents of the PDI_FGJCDMX executed an arrest warrant against Hugo "N", making him one of the high-priority targets in Mexico City to be successfully apprehended.
