The Attorney General of Quintana Roo, Raciel López Salazar, has confirmed that the young women who claimed to have been intoxicated with fentanyl while visiting Cancun showed no traces of any substances in their toxicology tests. He also stated that there is no evidence of drug trafficking related to fentanyl in Quintana Roo.

The tourists, who made their accusations via social media, were reportedly drinking in a pool area with two men. One of the women was taken to a private hospital for a toxicology test, which confirmed no signs of drug use.

The incident has caused a wave of concern and controversy. The two American tourists allege they were drugged with fentanyl at a Mexican Caribbean resort. They also claim they faced extortion and serious health issues before being transported back to the United States. However, the lack of a formal complaint and specific details have made the investigation difficult.

Bernardo Cueto Riestra, the Secretary of Tourism of Quintana Roo, has been in contact with the U.S. consulate to gather more information about the tourists' condition and the incident details. Despite this, the investigation has been hindered by a lack of response from the tourists' families and the absence of a formal complaint.

Riestra has expressed his concern about the situation and criticized the media for spreading the information without verifying its accuracy.
