Quintana Roo is set to be the guest state at the 18th Festival of Traditions of Life and Death, taking place from October 30 to November 3 at Xcaret Park. The acclaimed musical group Reik is scheduled to perform at the gala concert. This year, the festival will host 36 guest communities from the Mayan Zone and 11 municipalities of Quintana Roo.

The main venue for the festival is Xcaret Park. However, the celebration will extend to other locations including Hotel Xcaret Arte, Hotel Xcaret Mexico, and La Casa de la Playa. The City Theater and the Domo Villas del Sol in Playa del Carmen will also participate in the festivities.

The festival pays tribute to the Mexican traditions of the Day of the Dead, providing a unique cultural experience through artistic, gastronomic, and educational activities. Over the course of five days, attendees will have the opportunity to engage with this Mexican celebration, recognized as an intangible cultural heritage of humanity by UNESCO. The festival will feature exhibitions, workshops, shows, and high-quality gastronomic tastings. As the guest state, Quintana Roo promises to add its unique charm to the festival.
