Two men were injured in an armed assault at the Planet Hollywood Hotel beach this afternoon. The incident occurred around 3:30 PM, prompting witnesses to call for authorities due to the violent attack on the beach located in the continental area of Isla Mujeres.
Following the incident, medical assistance was immediately requested. Paramedics promptly arrived at the scene to tend to the injured before transporting them to the General Hospital in Cancún.
Municipal police officers also arrived at the hospital to gather information about the incident. Initial reports from witnesses suggest that the attackers escaped by boat.
As of now, the motives behind the violent assault remain unknown. Similarly, the identities of the individuals responsible for the attack have not been established.
