“Explore Pac Chen: The Ultimate Ecotourism Destination in Quintana Roo”

The community of Pac Chen, located on the road to Cobá, is being developed as an ecotourism zone in Lázaro Cárdenas. The area is known for its natural attractions including caves, cenotes, lagoons, and a zip line.

Anselmo Temich, Director of Economic Promotion and Rural Development, shared in an interview that the community is situated on the same route as Tres Reyes, in the southern part of the municipality. He emphasized the area's potential for tourism, with its diverse natural attractions offering direct contact with nature.

Visitors to the area often participate in a purification ritual before visiting the ecological sites. The region also boasts a large lagoon where tourists can kayak, equipped with life jackets for safety.

Guided tours through the dense jungle are another popular activity. These tours offer the opportunity to observe a variety of birds and wild animals in their natural habitat.

The area's tourism offerings range from zip line adventures to relaxing in spacious and comfortable palapas located next to the lagoon.

The official expressed optimism about the growth potential for tourism in the community. He hopes that promotional efforts will yield positive results starting from this year.
