On Sunday, June 2, 2024, the residents of Quintana Roo cast their votes in the Municipal Presidents elections. The preliminary results for these elections have now been announced. Here's a snapshot of the outcomes in several of Quintana Roo's municipalities:
- In Benito Juárez, Ana Patricia Peralta, representing the Morena, Labor Party, and Green Party, leads with 71.9% of the votes.
- José Luis Chacón Méndez, also from the Morena, Labor Party, and Green Party, is ahead in Cozumel with 47%.
- Maricarmen Candelaria Hernández Solís, another representative from the Morena, Labor Party, and Green Party, leads in Felipe Carrillo Puerto with 49.2%.
- Atenea Gómez Ricalde, from the Morena, Labor Party, and Green Party, has a significant lead in Isla Mujeres with 80.3%.
- In José María Morelos, Erik Noé Borges Yam from Morena is ahead with 45.7%.
- José Nivardo Mena Villanueva, representing the Morena, Labor Party, and Green Party, leads in Lázaro Cárdenas with 59.8%.
- Lidia Esther Rojas Fabro from Movimiento Ciudadano is ahead in Othón P. Blanco with 41%.
- In Solidaridad, Angy Estefanía Mercado Asensio from the Morena, Labor Party, and Green Party leads with 55.2%.
- Diego Castañón Trejo from the Morena, Labor Party, and Green Party is ahead in Tulum with 51.2%.
- José Alfredo Contreras Méndez, representing the Morena, Labor Party, and Green Party, leads in Bacalar with 52.3%.
- Blanca Merari Tziu Muñoz from the Morena, Labor Party, and Green Party is ahead in Puerto Morelos with 59.7%.
These are some of the preliminary results from the Municipal Presidents elections in Quintana Roo.
