CANCÚN, QRoo — A man was found deceased inside a trailer parked in a lot adjacent to the bypass leading to the Cancún-Mérida highway, near Huayacán Avenue, according to the Secretary of Citizen Security.
Workers from a gas station alerted emergency services at 911 after detecting foul odors emanating from the public federal service unit with license plate 78-80-3S, belonging to the company AFH Logistic.
Inside the vehicle, identified with the number 3000R200 and compartment 583457, a body in a state of decomposition was found, according to officers from the Benito Juárez Secretary of Citizen Security and Transit who confirmed the discovery.
The Quintana Roo Attorney General's Office and forensic experts have initiated proceedings to determine the cause of death. An investigation is underway to establish whether it was a natural death or if there are indications of violence.
