Cancún, Mexico — Mitofsky, one of the most recognized polling firms in the Americas, has placed Benito Juárez (Cancún) Mayor Ana Paty Peralta in the fifth position of its latest Ranking Mitofsky of 150 Mayors of Mexico, identifying her as one of the country’s best-evaluated municipal leaders.
High Approval Reflects Public Confidence
Published by the polling firm on its platform and in El Economista, the survey revealed that Mayor Peralta achieved a 55.1% approval rating among citizens, securing her a spot in the national top five. Additionally, she ranked third among the highest-rated female mayors, trailing only Aleida Alavez of Iztapalapa, Mexico City, and Carmen Canturosas of Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas.
Of the 150 municipal executives evaluated, only five surpassed 55% approval, while just 60 received a “high” rating—defined as above 50%. Mitofsky’s reports indicate that Peralta has maintained a “high” rating since October 2023, reflecting sustained public support over her 20-month tenure. The polling firm attributes this consistency to her administration’s governance practices and community engagement.
Sustained Performance in Leadership
The ranking underscores Peralta’s enduring popularity in Cancún, where her policies and accessibility have resonated with residents. Mitofsky’s data highlights her as a standout leader in a competitive field, with her approval metrics remaining robust amid broader municipal evaluations.
