Family Confronts Authorities Over Absurd Warrant

Relatives of Manuel Enrique Viera Escamilla reported that ministerial agents arrived at their home in Chetumal on Wednesday to execute an arrest warrant, despite the fact that Viera Escamilla had been fatally shot two years prior. His widow recounted the incident in a social media post, stating, "They came looking for him, demanding that he be handed over and not hide. At that moment, only my mother-in-law was present, and she told them, 'How can I hand over a deceased person?' But they kept insisting arrogantly."

Viera Escamilla was killed in Cancún's Villas Otoch Paraíso in Region 259. His family confirmed that he has been buried at the Campos del Recuerdo cemetery in Chetumal since his death.

Allegations of Incompetence and Lack of Coordination

The arrest warrant surfaced amid ongoing legal proceedings involving the deceased man's brothers. Family members criticized the FGE, calling the incident proof of "inefficiency and lack of communication between different offices of the State Attorney General's Office."

In a sarcastic remark, relatives invited the ministerial police to visit the cemetery to arrest the deceased or, alternatively, "bring flowers and candles."
