Cancún, Quintana Roo — A Siberian Husky died Thursday after being rescued from a residence in Cancún’s Supermanzana 222 due to alleged abandonment and severe malnutrition. Authorities responded to a citizen report and transported the dog for emergency veterinary care, but the animal succumbed to its deteriorated health.

Rescue Efforts and Fatal Outcome

The Quintana Roo State Attorney General’s Office and the Directorate of Animal Protection and Welfare intervened after neighbors alerted them to the husky’s dire condition. The dog was found in a home in the Los Héroes subdivision and immediately taken for medical treatment. Despite veterinary efforts, the animal died shortly after due to complications from its weakened state.

Photos shared online showed the husky’s emaciated appearance, sparking public outrage. Residents demanded justice and accountability from the owners.
