A group of 90 customs agents from Cancun International Airport have recently completed training in Tourism Service Quality and Emotion Management. The certificates were presented to them by Mara Lezama, the Governor of Quintana Roo.
Governor Lezama emphasized the significance of this training, noting that customs agents are often the first point of contact for the thousands of tourists from around the globe who visit Mexico.
Addressing the newly certified agents, Lezama said, "I understand that it's not always easy, with hundreds of flights landing daily and thousands of passengers eager to begin their holidays. However, your work truly makes a difference. You now have the skills to offer a more compassionate, warm, and efficient service."
Lezama also acknowledged that initiatives like these underscore the collaborative efforts aimed at achieving diverse outcomes. In Quintana Roo, tourism is the primary economic driver, creating thousands of jobs annually. She added, "In this vast industry, every individual who interacts with our visitors plays a crucial role."
