Yucatán Wins First Medals in Artistic Swimming at Conade 2026

Guanajuato, Guanajuato — Yucatán’s delegation got off to a strong start at the Conade 2026 National Olympiad, winning its first medals in artistic swimming at the Guanajuato Aquatic Center.

Marei Silvia Barrenechea and Martha Johana Medina Zarazua earned a silver medal and two bronze medals in the children’s duet category. The silver came in the artistic routine with a score of 64.09 points, while the bronzes were awarded in the execution and total routine categories, accumulating 142.1267 points overall.

Also competing in the same category, Renata Santos Andrade and Ana Sofía López Huchín finished 11th in the total routine and narrowly missed the podium, placing fourth in the artistic routine.

In the junior technical duet, Sofía Natalie Alcocer Canto and Natalia Ramírez López placed sixth overall with a score of 181.4733 points.

The performance marked a positive start for the state team in this edition of the national competition.
