Yucatán, Mexico — Gran Parque La Plancha was filled with lights, carols, and the magic of the holiday season as Governor Joaquín Díaz Mena inaugurated the 2025 Christmas Village, a space that offers Yucatecan families an option for recreation and healthy coexistence for all ages.
Accompanied by the Honorary President of the System for the Comprehensive Development of the Family, Wendy Méndez Naal, the Governor led the official lighting of this Christmas installation that until January 4 will be a meeting point for Yucatecans during this special time of joy, unity, and hope.
Subsequently, the state leader enjoyed the staging of “Allies for the Family,” a musical show that families can enjoy on weekends, which highlights values and the importance of family life.
In his message, Díaz Mena stated that this space was born to unite Yucatecans, give joy, and remember that the best moments in life are those lived with family. “May this Christmas Village be a hug for the soul, a refuge where imagination flies, where dreams have permission to grow, and where the community feels more united than ever,” emphasized the Governor, in the presence of Manuel Maezo Zamora, Honorary President of DIF Yucatán for a day.
Finally, the head of the state Executive invited Yucatecan families to visit it and continue making Yucatán a home of peace, joy, and love.
The Christmas Village can be visited daily at Parque La Plancha from 5:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., until January 4, 2026. However, it will remain closed on December 24, 25, and 31, as well as January 1, so visitors are invited to take precautions when planning their visit.
As part of the artistic program, the Christmas musical work will be presented on December 6, 13, 14, 20, 21, 27, and 28, as well as January 3 and 4, in all cases at 7:00 p.m.
