Mérida, Yucatán — Yucatán continues to consolidate its position as one of Mexico's economic engines by achieving historic results in exports during 2025. This performance is driven by the dynamism of its industry and stronger links with international markets.
According to the National Institute of Statistics and Geography (Inegi), at the close of 2025, the state achieved foreign sales of $2,561.9 million dollars, the highest level ever recorded for the state.
This figure represents a growth of 21.1 percent compared to the previous year, placing Yucatán among the five Mexican entities with the highest export growth.
This performance was driven primarily by the manufacturing industry, with advances in strategic sectors that strengthen job creation, increase added value, and contribute to the economic development of the state.
The Secretary of Economy and Labor, Ermilo Barrera Novelo, stated that these results reflect a clear economic policy and the coordinated work promoted by the State Government.
He pointed out that Yucatán is strengthening its industry, attracting investment and generating formal jobs, which allows the state to compete in international markets with quality, talent and an increasingly solid economy.
