Quintana Roo — A 20-year-old man from Chetumal, Quintana Roo, has been arrested for his alleged involvement in the triple homicide that shook the municipality of Dzilam González, Yucatán, bringing the total number of suspects detained to seven.
The detainee, identified as Jaime Enrique “N”, was apprehended by elements of the Public Security Secretariat (SSP) and the Attorney General’s Office of the State of Yucatán (FGE), in collaboration with its counterpart in Quintana Roo. With new evidence emerging in the case, a Control Judge approved an arrest warrant against him for his probable participation in the crimes of aggravated homicide committed by a gang and attempted aggravated homicide.
According to preliminary information from authorities, the investigations involve the suspect in the massacre committed along with six other individuals, who are already detained, on January 5.
The massacre resulted in the deaths of J. C. V. G., A. A. R. K., and L. F. K. T., the latter found in serious health condition and who subsequently died from his injuries. It is worth noting that among those affected was a 15-year-old adolescent who was injured.
