Playa del Carmen. A 24-year-old man from the municipality of Felipe Carrillo Puerto was found dead on Saturday night with a gunshot wound to the head.
The discovery occurred around 9:30 p.m. inside a house located on 28th Street, between 120th and 125th Avenues.
It appears that a relative entered the residence and found the young man’s body with the firearm impact.
One version of events indicates this case may be a suicide; however, this information has not yet been confirmed by authorities.
The deceased was identified as a young man of only 24 years of age, originally from the municipality of Felipe Carrillo Puerto.
Personnel from the State Attorney General’s Office processed the area and removed the body to take it to the Forensic Medical Service.
The attorney general’s office has already opened an investigation file regarding this discovery.
