Cancún, Mexico — A woman inside a truck was the victim of a robbery in broad daylight on Labná Avenue in Supermanzana 18 of this city.
In a video released by witnesses, the victim is seen screaming and asking for help around 1:00 in the afternoon, while pedestrians and motorists continued on their way without intervening.
According to videos recorded from the windows of some buildings in the area, a municipal police patrol passes by the location and one of the officers approaches to ask what is happening; however, the situation does not appear to receive immediate attention.
“Someone help the lady, no one is doing anything, we have to help each other,” states the person who recorded the videos.
The woman points to her aggressor, another female person walking on the sidewalk, but no one acts to stop her.
The incident, which occurred in an area considered safe, has caused outrage among local residents.
