Cancún, Quintana Roo — Following the launch of the new Route 27-Kilometer 0 and the existing Route 27-Puente Nichupté, Cancún residents still have questions about how to obtain the MOBI card they will need once free service ends.
The card and the official MOBI app are the only accepted payment methods on the new buses.
Where to Buy the MOBI Card
Only four store chains are authorized to sell MOBI cards officially: Oxxo, 7 Eleven, Abarrotes Dunosusa and GOmart. The card costs 35 pesos, and riders can also top up their balance at the same locations when funds run out.
Paying With the App
As an alternative payment method, users can download the e-Ticket through the MOBI app, where they can register and generate it without paying a commission. Riders can also top up their balance directly from the app and pay the fare for each trip.
Route Schedules and Free Service
Both Route 27-Puente Nichupté and the Kilometer 0 route operate from 4:55 a.m. to 2:00 a.m., Monday through Sunday.
Service will remain free until Monday, September 28. After that date, passengers must pay the corresponding fares.
