Volaris Launches Direct Flights Tulum to San José!

Volaris, a leading airline, has announced a new international route, connecting the popular Mexican beach destination, Tulum, Quintana Roo, with San José, Costa Rica. This move is set to enhance the connectivity between the two countries, offering the most convenient flight options for its customers. The direct flight from Tulum to San José will operate four times a week: on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays.

The introduction of this new route underscores Volaris' commitment to enhancing connectivity between Mexico and Central America. This is part of the airline's international expansion strategy, which aims to provide access to key destinations that stimulate economic growth and foster social and cultural exchange in the regions it serves. Volaris boasts one of the most modern fleets in North America.

In Quintana Roo, Volaris currently operates 20 national and international routes from Cancun and Tulum. Since 2006, the airline has transported over 42.6 million customers. In Tulum, Volaris already offers flights to Guadalajara and now adds San José, Costa Rica to its portfolio.

Volaris began operations in Costa Rica in 2016 and has since transported more than 2.5 million customers across the six routes it operates in the country. These routes include destinations such as Guatemala and El Salvador in Central America; Cancun, Mexico City, and Guadalajara in Mexico; and Los Angeles in the United States, with a layover in Guatemala. In addition to these destinations, Volaris has now added Tulum and will soon include Orlando and Miami in the United States.

Jorge Roberto García Rojas, Director of Distribution and Market Development, expressed his excitement about the new international route. He stated that it will not only connect two significant international tourist spots, Tulum and Costa Rica, but also boost the economic activities of both destinations. He further reiterated Volaris' commitment to playing a crucial role in the development and creation of opportunities that improve living conditions in the communities they serve.
