On Tuesday morning, around 9:00 AM, an unidentified man's body was discovered at kilometer 207 on Federal Highway 307. This stretch of road connects the communities of José María Pino Suárez and Muyil. As of now, the cause of death remains unknown.
The discovery was reported through the 911 emergency line. This call prompted immediate response from the Felipe Carrillo Puerto Municipal Police and the State Roads Police. After a short search, they found the body of a man, estimated to be between 40 and 45 years old. The man was discovered with his pants lowered to his ankles.
At this stage, it is unclear whether the man was a victim of a hit-and-run or a firearm attack. The area was quickly secured and is currently under police supervision. Police investigators and forensic experts are expected to arrive soon. They will be responsible for removing the body and conducting further investigations to determine the circumstances surrounding this death.
